Authorisation for placing fixed installations in service

Authorisation for placing in service of fixed installations shall be granted for the following subsystems:

infrastructure,
energy,
trackside control-command and signalling,
on-board control-command and signalling.

Fixed installations shall be placed in service on the basis of an authorisation for placing in service issued by the safety authority, provided that they are planned, designed, constructed and installed in such a way that, when integrated into the rail system, they meet the imposed essential requirements set out in Annex III to Directive (EU) 2016/797 and the essential requirements laid down in the regulations on construction of facilities.

Authorisation for the placing in service of fixed installations can be obtained through two procedures:

for obtaining a building permit and
as part of maintenance works of public benefit.
