Safety authorisation of an
infrastructure manager

Pursuant to Article 13 of the Railway Transport Safety Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia [Uradni list RS], No 30/18 and 54/21), the infrastructure manager must obtain a safety authorisation to manage the railway infrastructure, which includes:

a certification confirming the acceptability of the safety management system;
a certification confirming that the infrastructure manager meets the specific requirements necessary for the safe design, maintenance and operation of the railway infrastructure, including the maintenance and operation of signalling and safety devices and traffic management.
