A train driving licence is a document issued by the safety authority to an applicant if they meet the age, health, education and general professional qualifications. The train driving licence is the basis for obtaining a certificate allowing the train driver to carry out their work. It is valid for 10 years, provided that all the conditions for its validity are met. Train driving licences issued in other Member States of the European Union are also valid in the Republic of Slovenia. The safety authority shall keep a register of the train driving licences it has issued (register of train drivers).
